Can you believe it, only 16 days left in 2014?
It has been a crazy year, full of not so pleasant surprises and a few happy changes.
For the next two and half weeks, this blog will be under construction.
I hope you stick around to see what the New Year brings.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from my family to yours!

Hello - Winnie & Walter

Recently, I found a stamp company called Winnie & Walter.

I fell in love with the Big Bang Confetti and The Big, the Bold, the Lovely stamp sets, so I grabbed them while I could.  What makes these stamp sets even better...the matching cut files!!

I haven't been able to sit down and play with them much, but I was able to finish this card.

Head on over to Winnie & Walter and view their creative team for inspiration..

Until next time ~ Carol W.

Help with this space

Happy Friday!

I promised today a little showing of the retirement album I have been working on, however, my computer decided it didn't want to work with me this morning. So I'm posting from my lovely phone.

So, today I'm asking for a little help.

I would love to re-vamp, make-over, over haul my blog. Twice over the past year, I "won" a blog design, however, after a few initial contacts from them.  Radio silence.

So if any of you know a RELIABLE and TRUST WORTHY person that could help, please either leave a comment or contact me via email at

Have a wonderful Friday and even better weekend!

Until next time ~ Carol W.

Congrats U Did It

Today we are having a retirement party for a co-worker.

I made this simple card for her using Avery Elle's Framed Fonts stamp set.

I know this post is short and sweet.

But I have been busy busy with party preparations and making the retirement album, which I will share with you tomorrow.

Until next time ~ Carol W.

Photo Inspiration Challenge: Mama Elephant

Over the holiday, I found this stamp company called Mama Elephant.

Have you heard of them? I guess I don't get out of my comfort zone very often when it comes to stamp companies like Mama Elephant.  But I loved the little deer stamps and I took the plunge and purchased Winter Wonderland. Boy am I glad I did.

Mama Elephant's stamp are beautiful.

This month Mama Elephant is having a challenge, so I decided to join in on the fun this month.

This challenge is a photo challenge based on the photo above.

Below will you see my take of this photo.

Supplies: Outside CardMama Elephant Winter Wonderland; My Creative Time Chunky Jar Accessories for the sentiment and tag & Fun Stitched Edges for the mountain. Momento Ink: Love Letter, Rose Bud, Rich Mocha & Snow Marker.

Inside Card - My Creative Time More of My Favorite Sayings for the sentiment & Mama Elephant Winter Wonderland for the deer.

Project Life Cover

I absolutely love snow days!  Considering this happens so rarely in Texas, I'll take it.  Not only do I get more home time with my children, but I also get more crafting time in.

One of my goals this year is to try to keep up with my Project Life album.  It is with great happiness that I share with you my 2014 Project Life cover.

Supplies: Row 1: Silhouette Cameo (hello) & 2014 printable is from 25 Hearts.
Row 1 & 3: 4x6 Cards cut using My Creative Time's Stitched 4x6 Journal Dies.

Are you working on a project life album? Or traditional scrapbooking album?  Either type, I would love to see what you are doing, just leave a link in the comments.

Until next time ~ Carol W.

December Daily Day 1-7

Although I'm still in the process of completing my December Daily Album, I wanted to go ahead and start sharing my pages.

Cover page

Day 1 - started off the month with Momma (ME) feeling sick.

Day 2 - the weather where has been crazy but nothing like the fog that over took the area this day. Couldn't see 20 feet in front of you.

Nothing exciting on Day 3.

Day 4 - Lighting of the City's Christmas Tree.  Baby Girl's school choir was invited to sing. She and her classmates did a wonderful job singing. They even sang one of my favorites - I Want a Hippopotamus For Christmas.

Day 5 - an early Christmas gift from my Hubby, Canon Selphy.  Which I knew was coming (so happy).

Day 6 - Hubby got us some meat. We only get what we eat and all the meat we eat is what He gets.  The NOEL print was a freebie from I Heart Nap Time.

Day 7 - Silhouette Cameo shows up on our doorstep. Boy oh boy you should have seen me when I saw this unexpected gift. I felt (and I know acted) like a kid who couldn't wait to open their gifts on Christmas morning.

Almost all the supplies came from the December Daily kit from Studio Calico and my own stash.

Enjoy and hope you come back to see more.

Until next time ~ Carol

December Daily Cover

This will be a quick post.

Before January is over, I hope to complete my December Daily album.  It's about 2/3 complete.  Look for more of my album over the next few weeks.

Today I just want to share my cover.

Using my Silhouette, I cut DEC 2013 for the spine.

I completely cover the outside and inside of the album with white paint. Next I added silver glitter into a few of the stars and added silver ribbon (from Studio Calico December Daily kit).

To cover the December wood piece, I sprayed it with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist Candy Apple Red and Perfect Pearl Mist Perfect Pearl.

Thank you for stopping by.

Until next time ~ Carol.

Just a Note & Little Man

Last month My Creative Time had a design team call and although I didn't make the team, I am proud I finally took the step to apply for it.

I made three projects and today, I'm going to finally share with you the end result.

My first project is for a friends baby.  Using felt purchased from Hobby Lobby and MCT Lowercase Fun dies, along with MCT What;s Growing On stamp/die set, I created this cute little onesie for him.

I can't wait to see him in it.

To get the 'hill', I use MCT Fun Stitched Edges.

All and all I love these projects and enjoyed using various My Creative Time stamps and dies to create them.

If you like My Creative Time as much as do or you're looking for a new and fun stamp company, check out My Creative Time.  A new release starts with sneak peeks on January 13th, so be prepared to be inspired by Emma and the new Design Team.

Have a wonderful Wednesday.

Until next time ~ Carol.

My Creative Time Guest Designer

Happy New Years my  friends!

I am so excited to share that Emma over at My Creative Time invited me to be the Guest Designer for her today.

My Creative Time is my favorite stamp and die company. I found MCT almost two years ago and have never been disappointment with the quality and versatility of all the stamps and dies.  With each new release Emma and the MCT Design Team create the most beautiful projects.  Don't just take my word, go here to check them out for yourself.

Thank you Emma for this wonderful opportunity and I'm looking forward to all the wonderful new stamps and dies that will be released in 2014.

One of goals for 2014 is get my craft room better organized.  So my first organization project is to get all my project life cards in order.  I used MCT Stitched Journal die, MCT Stitched 4x6 Journal dies and MCT Stitched Tab die to create dividers for the project life cards.  Don't fret, this is just a start.

I used my DYNO LetraTag label maker for the labels.

Since Valentine's Day is fast approaching, for my next project, I created these Valentine's cards for my son's classmates.  I used MCT Just Tags, MCT Stitched Scallop Heart die set, MCT Classmate Valentine stamp set, and MCT 3x3 Fancy Envelope die.  Like I said, I love how each die and stamp set is very versatile and so easy to use.

Again, thank you Emma for having me as your Guest Designer over at My Creative Time today.

I hope everyone has an amazing New Year.

Until next time ~ Carol.
