Chinese Cuisine

In my family Chinese is not everyone's favorite.

But the boy and love it, so once or twice a month we have a Chinese Cuisine lunch date.

A few weeks ago we decided on Panda Express and it was so yummy.  This time He tried the Honey Walnut Shrimp and liked it.

I love Him and love that he is willing to try new things, even new foods! He has the best heart and love being his Momma!

He is determined to learn how to use chopsticks.  I gave him a fork but he stuck it out and used them the entire meal.  So proud!

Graphicat Sketch Challenge with a DT call

Welcome blogger friends to another sketch challenge with Graphicat Sketches.

For this challenge, you just pick your favorite sketch and play along.

I chose sketch #18 for this challenge...

I used the Cinders image from Saturated Canary colored with copics.  My Mind's Eye Paper 6x6 collection Nostalgia, ribbon from my stash and prima embellishments.

For the inside, I used a Graphicat Design sentiment.

I hope you are able to play along and now a word from our sponsor regarding the DT call...

Just a precious little turkey.... thanks for sharing it with us at BBTB2. I am a huge Twilight fan, I have seen all but the new one. I hate that this is the end.

Cullen Family and a giveaway

Tonight's the night ladies and gentlemen!

Hits theaters much later in wee hours of the morning! Are you excited, yet?

I have been a fan of the series since before the movies and when it was announced that The Twilight Saga was hitting the big screen, I has (like many others) elated that Stephenie Meyer gave it the green light.

So to commiserate the epic finale, I have decided to add a few more Cullen family pictures to my album.

Whether you are sitting at home, watching the midnight showing or braving the marathon, I hope you all enjoy the show!

Also, for work we had to decorate a hand turkey and name five things we are Thankful for, so here is mine...

Linking my turkey hand to Bitten By the Bug 2 Turkey Challenge.

What do you think?  She is a beauty, right?  LOL - it was fun decorating my hand and served as a reminder what I am most thankful for.

Let's do a little surprise giveaway   Leave a comment below and let me know what you are most thankful for?  All I ask is that you be a follower.  I will randomly draw a name, you have until Sunday at 11:59PM to leave a comment.

The winner will receive Market Street stamps plus a few extra goodies. Good Luck!
Open to US residents only.

Team Edward or Team Jacob?

The most anticipated movie of the year is almost here!

Excited is not a good enough word for how I feel about this movie.  I can't believe that the whom ever is in charge made us (the fans) wait an entire year for this final epic event. But than again the build and hype surrounding this final movie does keep the Fans interested.

So in honor of Breaking Dawn Part 2 release, I have a card for you today and another project for you tomorrow.

Today's card was made with Skipping Stones stamp set, Fangs or Fur. This stamp set was one of the first Twilight related stamp set I purchased but definitely not my last.  Yes, I have a slight (OK huge) weakness for anything Twilight Saga related.

Using the beautiful sketch below by Kelly Schirmer for Skipping Stones Challenge #154...

I made this card for a friend, just because.  All paper is Lost & Found by My Mind's Eye and the flowers are from Prima.

The sentiment is stamped on My Creative Time's curly label die.

So are you Team Edward or Team Jacob?

Me, I am Team Jasper!

Smashing first day of School

Hello friends!

Quick post to share with you a page from my smash book.

I love this picture of the two most important people in my life...my kiddos.  The picture was taking in August on the first day of school.

Also, I neglected to share my kids Halloween pictures and I know, you are on the edge of your seat just waiting to see them (LOL).  She dressed as Jane from Twilight - we are huge fans and both are excited for the final installment of the The Twilight Saga - Breaking Dawn Part 2.

I was/am so proud, she picked everything for her own costume.

Here she is trying to look like serious like the Volturi coven does.  Although she was a little upset we didn't get the red contacts.

He decided to be a wolf.  I was excited and happy and told him "Yeah, you're both going as a Twilight character." He gave me a weird look, so I explained she is Jane, he is Jacob.

He informed me..."No, I'm not 'Team Jacob', I'm just a wolf.  But I do like the movie," with a big grin on his face.

Any big plans for the final epic movie?

My sister and I typically go to the midnight premiere and last year we did the marathon.  This year again we decided to sit of the marathon, that is until I actually looked at the calendar and realized that I have a test that evening (I'm taking a few college courses) and of course it would be that night.

So we will have the marathon at home over the weekend and then head to the theater for the final movie.

Also, my little stamp haul...loving these stamps from Beary Sweet Designs!

Got Washi...

Good morning my blogger friends!

Have you SMASHed yet?

Are you even interested? Or are you just a scrapper or stamper? Or maybe you prefer daybooks?

Me, I like to do a little bit of them all.

Today, it's a SMASH day...

A few months ago, if you were lucky enough, Saturated Canary sent out postcards with a colored image of 'Washi Kinda A Girl'.  She is fabulous and pretty and because I have a few (OK more than a few) washi tapes laying around, I decided to SMASH her.  I also included Lolita.

I used a little of almost every washi tape I own.  The flower is My Creative Time Flower Die.

See below for a list of supplies used.

Some of the washi not in supply list I purchased from Walmart, from StudioG.  The ribbon is from my own stash.

Thank you for stopping in, hope you have a wonderful Thursday!

Until next time, happy smashin'! ~ Carol
