My First and Second with Cricut...

HI! Hope everyone is doing great!

This is my first card using my expression. It was for my Uncle's 50th Birthday (I have seen a card like this but can not remember who from).  I used the font and numbers from the Hannah Montana cartridge.  Just a plain card with a sentiment from Stampin' Up.

Next, is just a card I thought I would try, it's a good thing I have time to learn my expression before the next birthday. I was all over the place with sizing and trying to figure out which one to chose and how it would turn out.  LOL! I really need to invest in one of the instructional DVD's that I have seen. BTW-If you have a preference or know which is the best DVD out there, please let me know.  Again, nothing to write home about...just a plain jane card.

Recipe: Sweet Treats Cartridge, recollections paper.

Happy Friday everyone!

Hope you all had a great week.  I know I did and it was made even better when I received an amazing gift in the mail from Rhonda at Scrap Happens With Rhonda.  A few day ago she had a post, 'Pay It Forward', the rules are to handmake something for the first 5 people to comment on that particular post.  I knew I was getting something amazing from Rhonda (all her creations are awesome), but I was in awww and so touched that she sent me a Twilight album.

'Twi-Hard' I am and complete obsessed addicted to the Twilight Saga. Rhonda ~ if you read this ~ THANK YOU so so very much! You are one amazing, talented and giving person. I love my wonderful gift and I love it and will cherish it and fill with equally beautiful pictures.

Just beautiful is it not?

It's all about Ribbon

Hope everyone is having a fabulous week!

Welcome to my new friends, I hope you all enjoy my little spurts of creativity.  If When I reach 100 followers I will giveaway some candy, not sure what all it might be, but I do have an extra Paisley Cartridge to start with.

Also, so excited that my Cricut Expression finally arrived today and I can not wait to play with it.

Well, enough about me, I made this card for a friend to gift. Sorry about the poor picture quality, blame it on the user not the equipment.

Art Journal 2011...Day 7

Here is another entry from my Art Journal from Friday.

I woke up in a fabulous mood and to a beautiful day. As I was driving to work I see this in the sky and the lyrics from an Enation song 'Ride' just rushed in. It's a beautiful song written by a very talented man Jonathan Jackson and preformed by him and his equally talented band mates Richard  Lee Jackson, Michael Galeotti, Luke Galeotti, and Danny Sweatt.

Anyways - usually not that emotional - but it was a magnificent beginning to a beautiful day.

please excuse any spelling errors

Thanks for reading! ~Carol

Art Journal 2011...To New Beginnings!

Myself and a few members at Smeared and Smudged forum have started Art Journals for 2011. And what better way to start my journal than with ME and a few reminders to myself for 2011.  I have never done an Art Journal and I hope through doing this, I will inspire and be inspired to grow creatively. So far it just feels like I'm standing front and center...naked for all the world to see.

I will not post my entries everyday but here is the first. Not sure about it and I may add to it later...
